Talmadge Construction was founded by Jeff and Adele Talmadge, who chose Santa Cruz County as the place to build both their business and their lives. What began as a small, values-driven remodeling company earned decades of trust through craftsmanship, transparency, and one simple promise: do what you say you're going to do, and follow through. Today their son, Andrew Schroeder, leads the company with the same hands-on, personal service.

We're a true design-build firm. Our in-house architects, interior designers, and skilled craftspeople collaborate from the first sketch to the final walkthrough: one team, one point of accountability, and a remodel that stays aligned with your vision, your budget, and the realities of coastal building, from salt air to ocean views.

We're also in business to improve lives beyond our clients' homes. Through the Jeff and Adele Talmadge Scholarship Fund and hundreds of donated design-build hours, including helping Aptos High students build a tiny home, we invest in the community we've served for more than 40 years.
